What to look for here
Tanger Outlets is a chain of outlet centers across the country and a competitor to Simon's Premium Outlets. The mix of brands is similar: Nike, adidas, Coach, Michael Kors, Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Levi's, Under Armour and many others. If there are no Premium Outlets near you but there is a Tanger, it's an equal substitute. The brands' own discount rules (extra discounts, BOGO, clearance) are the same as described in the brand sections above.
How discounts work
How to read the price and where it's lowest
The biggest discounts come on holidays:
- Holiday weekends: Presidents Day (February), Memorial Day (late May), July 4, Labor Day (early September).
- Back to School - July and August, with lots of deals at sports brands.
- Black Friday and the whole week after Thanksgiving - the biggest extra discounts and coupons.
- After Christmas and in January - a sale of leftover stock.
Each center has its own schedule and deals - check the Events and Deals page for your center on tanger.com or in the app. At the center's Shopper Services you can usually pick up a coupon book; it can be free for military members and AAA and AARP members - see the terms on the center's Deals page.
