Sephora is one of the most popular beauty stores in the US. It has all the new releases from beauty brands: makeup, skin care, fragrances from luxury houses and hair care (Olaplex, K18, Gisou, Dyson hair tools). Brands range from affordable to luxury: Rare Beauty, Fenty, Charlotte Tilbury, Dior, Chanel, Drunk Elephant, Sol de Janeiro, The Ordinary, the Korean Laneige, Sulwhasoo, Beauty of Joseon and its own Sephora Collection. Some brands are sold almost only here in the US. There are more than 500 standalone stores, plus Sephora corners inside Kohl's.

The store is popular, but there's no "wow" on discounts. Discounts come occasionally, on particular items, and I haven't noticed mass sales here where you want to grab half the store. People go here more for new releases and the brands they need than for markdowns. The closest thing to a sale is the Savings Event for rewards program members, described below.

The main sale is the Savings Event, twice a year: in spring, usually in April, and in fall before the holidays - from late October and in November. The discount depends on your Beauty Insider tier: Insider 10%, VIB 15%, Rouge 20%, and Sephora Collection is usually 30% for everyone. Rouge members get access a few days earlier. In 2026 the spring one ran April 10-20, and the fall one October 30 - November 9 for Rouge and November 3-9 for VIB and Insider. The discount applies both in stores and online, including at Sephora at Kohl's.
