What to look for here
Primark is an Irish chain (headquartered in Dublin, owned by the British Associated British Foods) selling very cheap clothes, shoes, pajamas, underwear, accessories, beauty, home goods and sweets, plus a lot of licensed items (Disney, Harry Potter, Stitch and other characters). Basics and pajamas cost a few dollars, and character items are noticeably cheaper than in those brands' own stores.
Primark has been in the US since 2015 (the first store opened in Boston), and now has about 46 stores in roughly 15 states, and the chain is growing fast. Most stores are in the Northeast (New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts), with others in Florida, Chicago and Texas, and in 2026 stores opened at Orlando Vineland Premium Outlets and at the Mall of America in Minnesota. The flagship is in New York at Herald Square. There may not be a store near you - check the map on the website.
I've almost never come across American Primark myself, but our personal shoppers in New York do regular shopping trips there.
From our shopping trips
We had three shopping trips at Primark - basic wardrobe, underwear and kids. Prices ranged from $2 to $70, most items cost $6-30, and roughly every eighth item was up to $5.
