What to look for here
Nordstrom Rack is the discount stores of the Nordstrom department store. A higher tier than TJ Maxx and Ross: designer shoes, bags, jeans from premium labels, beauty and skincare. Part of the stock is leftovers and returns from Nordstrom, part is bought specially for Rack.
- Shoes are the store's main draw: you won't find ones like these anywhere else. Very good quality, both women's and men's.
- Sunglasses from popular expensive brands. At sales you can come across current Tom Ford or Max Mara models of excellent quality.
- Jewelry and watches in display cases.
- Premium-brand cosmetics, often with good discounts.
My experience: premium shoes
What I've noticed over the years of shopping here
It's worth checking the clearance shelves at Nordstrom Rack too. As for shoes, they very often have sales on premium shoes, but they aren't always in the clearance section. I've bought Burberry ankle boots for $99, Tory Burch ballet flats for $36, and Ted Baker sneakers for about $35. If you dig, you can find really good shoes.
Look at shoes closely: sometimes the bait ends up on the regular racks too, not only on the clearance shelves.
Be sure to check the jewelry and watch cases. I came across Tissot watches there with a red price tag - sometimes the red tag is hidden, and you look and it's a real gift from fate.
Items for 1 cent turn up too - that's how I bought socks. But it's extremely rare.
