What to buy here
What to look for here
Fred Meyer is a chain of "everything under one roof" hypermarkets from Portland, owned by Kroger since 1999. About 130 stores in just four states: Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Alaska. Groceries, pharmacy, clothing and shoes, home goods, electronics, toys, garden, a jewelry department, and many stores have their own gas station. In the northwest it is the equivalent of Target.
For a visitor, the interesting things here are vitamins and supplements (Nature Made, Nature's Bounty), American drugstore cosmetics (CeraVe), clothing for hiking and the rainy northwest, Skechers and Crocs shoes, Carhartt workwear and Levi's jeans.
