Five BelowWhat to buy for pennies

Five Below sells items mostly under $5 for teens and kids, so whatever is trending on social media shows up here quickly. Good buys are licensed toys and souvenirs with cartoon and game characters, stationery, lip balms and cosmetics in trendy packaging, pajamas and socks, plush toys, American candy, phone accessories. Before the holidays the store fills up with gift sets and seasonal decor - the selection is biggest in those weeks.

Some stores have a Five Beyond section with items above $5: headphones, speakers, larger toys, seasonal items, usually about $6-25, with some items costing more.

The range changes for the holidays: back to school, Halloween, Christmas, Valentine's Day. There are unusual sweets and snacks you won't find in other stores, including imported ones.

Of all the inexpensive stores, Five Below is, in my opinion, the best when it comes to goods for kids and their creativity. There is a lot of crafts, stationery and toys here, and the toys you find are not disposable ones. If a child likes to draw, glue and make things, it is worth stopping in.

There are board games here, but I haven't come across outstanding ones - it's better to go to other stores for them.
