What to buy here

What to look for here

Daiso is a Japanese chain (not Korean, as many people think): the company Daiso Industries is from Hiroshima Prefecture, and the US branch has operated since 2005 and is based in Anaheim (California). There are more than 200 stores in the US, most of them in California, Washington and Texas, and there are stores in New York, Chicago, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Hawaii and other states. The chain is growing fast.

Basically these are small everyday items at a price of a couple of dollars. And something cute always turns up - that's what people go there for.

  • Home and storage items: containers, organizers, baskets.
  • Small kitchen items and Japanese tableware, bento boxes.
  • Stationery.
  • Cosmetics and skincare: masks, sponges, brushes, some Japanese cosmetics.
  • Japanese snacks and drinks.
  • Toys, anime merchandise and everything for holidays.

We haven't found vitamins or supplements at American Daiso stores in any source - most likely they aren't there. It's better to go to a pharmacy or Costco for them.
