Coach OutletOutlet prices, discounts and what to buy

Coach is an American leather-bag brand, and at the outlet it's one of the best-value stores: a bag that costs a month's salary in other countries sometimes goes for a mass-market price on sale. The most common picks are monogram bags, crossbody bags, wallets, bag charms and men's belts.

Coach says outright that outlets sell items made specifically for outlets, plus archive models and past-season bestsellers from regular stores. Outlet models are usually simpler in leather, lining and hardware.

Coach is considered premium worldwide. In American Premium Outlets you get the outlet collections specifically - some more boutique-level models may not make it to the outlet. Lately Coach doesn't have discounts as huge as 5-6 years ago, but in America these are still the best prices in the world.

Extra discounts, as with Michael Kors, are posted at the entrance or right on the racks with the merchandise. There are often additional sales, and there are clearance racks up to 80% - depending on the promo day and the assortment. Clearance sometimes gets extra discounts too, often on men's collections.

Coach shoes are especially valuable - they're practically indestructible, and on clearance they get good discounts. You used to be able to catch models around $50, but in recent years such prices are rarer - more often around $100 a pair.

Coach sometimes runs promotions where you can buy a pair of shoes for $50. But that isn't what's on the shelves every day either: you have to catch those promotions.
