Carter's is the best-known American brand of clothing for babies and kids: bodysuits, sleepers, pajamas, sets, outerwear. OshKosh B'gosh is a brand from the same company, known for denim overalls and clothing for older kids, and the two are often sold in the same store. People love Carter's for the cotton, the quality and the prices, and the bodysuit and pajama sets are an especially good deal.

In my view, it's one of the most popular kids' clothing brands overall. Carter's is in outlets and in regular mall stores, and Carter's and OshKosh often share one store. The chain is currently closing some of its stores, so before you go, check the nearest one on the map on their website.

• The floor is usually divided into baby, toddler and older kids, and within that into boys and girls. If the store has OshKosh, it has its own section.
• Inside the store there's a sale area - clearance, usually at the back.
• Besides that, there are racks with an extra discount: the percentage is written on the sign above the rack. This extra discount on already marked-down items is usually applied automatically at checkout.
• The selection changes a lot: models and deals change quickly, so if you like something, it's better to grab it right away.

We had five shopping trips at Carter's - separately for boys' and girls' clothing and for sales. Prices in them ranged from $1 to $46, most items cost up to $30, and at the sale, discounts reached 70-80%. Almost everything we showed was kids' clothing, with a few kids' accessories.
